Bianca Jagger said once: "Style is knowing what suits you, who you are,
and what your assets are. It is also accepting it all."
And I couldn't agree with her more! It's not about buying new stuff all the time.
It's more fun and challening to play with pieces you have already in your closet to
create something new over and over again.
Personal style depends on many factors: your shape of body, the personality, your
manners and lifestyle!
You're a tomboy? Rock masculine looks with a twist of feminine pieces!
Love sports? Just incorporate your fave stylish work out gear in your daily style routine!
You're a rock chic? Go for black and dark colors with dangerous details, like spikes!
Wanna look girly - dresses, colors and cute stuff gonna make you look adorable for
any kind of occasions!
You see, there are a lot of options nowadays to find your own "mantra" of style!
At the end of the day it should represents YOU! Btw, do you have a certain "style
mantra" which you wanna share with me? How would you describe it?
Just desire to say your article is as surprising. The clearness in your post is just cool

Aww thank you so much for the little shout-out in your post dear Ira! I am so glad to have found your blog and connected with you! You write such thoughtful posts, and always leave lovely comments :)
ReplyDeleteI had someone tel me my style was 'feminine'. I never really know how to label my style, but I think I fit that label the most. Like you said in your post, it's so easy to play with fashion and change up your look each day though. One of my favourite things about clothes and accessories :)

I LOVE this picture!!

Such a lovely post, Ira! That quote rings so true, and I couldn't agree more with your interpretation of it. I myself have only recently embraced and accepted the fact that, y'know what, I ain't gonna have all that cash to buy new things every single day to be "stylish." And like you said, styling old pieces into new things during different occasions is what the true embodiment of your style is!
ReplyDeleteI've had quite a number of people who tell me I'm chic and elegant, so I'd say I'm about that! Looking put together yet "edgy" in a way is me! Have a lovely weekend! <3

Oooh, that quote is just perfect! I love it! I don't know if I have a style mantra. If I did, I think it would be something like, 'You do you.' Hahaha <3

I enjoyed this. I like to think my style is bold and daring. It's girly some days and rock chic on others, all depending on my mood. I'm adventurous and would wear it if it looks good regardless of what the trend reports say. Thanks for sharing this great post. http://fashionablyidu.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that quote!!! This is some really chic inspiration, thanks for sharing, Ira!

I completely agree. Although grabbing inspiration from the outside world is amazing, at the end of the day style is about embracing what makes us us and making the most of it!!

I've come to the realization I'm a classic girl. That's what really suits me. I tried a lot of fads when I first started blogging trying to keep up with everybody and it just wasn't me. I leave trendy to my makeup. LOL I've also learned what works well with my body type.

Thank you so much, May! I'm really happy you get the message behind this quote! Glad you agree with me, my dear! Style has no limits - either you have it or not! I think buying new stuff every day is actually not stylish at all, it's just hunting the trends and wasting of time! This shows only the insecurity of one's own personality! At least this is how I've experienced it when working in the retail trade...! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think you have the grace to wear chic and elegant looks. Those outfits sut you the best and the people are right! .) I'm still amazed by your "Blaze it up" post - you look so beautiful!!! Fanastic photos!!!
