Since we’re getting more and more on Bloglovin (welcome :)
!) why not talking about my favourite topic – simplicity and how to make it
work for you and your lifestyle: for now let’s start with interior!
Colors, shapes, abundance - the minimalist furnishing
style is determined by consistent reduction. Generous, elegant, bright and
tidy, but NOT sterile, monotonous or even uninhabited however a minimalist
living ambience is really a byproduct of an approach towards life. It’s quite
difficult to talk about minimalism without considering own life and attitude.
Minimalist living - a linear space concept creates the base
Minimalism as a living style is determined by strict,
geometric shapes in a bright, large-scale environment.
Extensive, transparent
room structures are emphasized outdoors by monochrome wall facades,
unpatterned, discreetly reflective floors, plain-colored furniture covers and
building materials such as glass, concrete, steel and natural stone.
In the
interior, the straightforward design, limited to the essentials, continues.
Room decorations are used sparingly - a lavish arrangement of home accessories
such as pictures or decor would stand in the way of the puristic basic idea
after the restriction to the functional.

Those who want to set themselves up minimalistically can
do this most effectively in a spacious room. With well-planned lighting
technology, you can optically enlarge what the sheer number of square meters
does not allows: A combination of background light, accent light and functional
lighting (work light) creates optimum brightness and cozy comfort at the same
time. Dimmable floodlights are suitable as a warm background light for room lighting.
An accent light (spot light) to emphasize a single object can be set, for
example, with LED strips. Floor lamps or spotlights provide functional, bright,
focused light, for example in the kitchen, bathroom, dining or work area.

Reduced color worlds: white, gray, black - a single color
kick is allowed!
They‘re the most achromatic of all colors that dominate
facades and interiors in modern minimalist living styles. A warm wood tone -
for example for furniture in the kitchen, bathroom or dining area, may loosen
up the color palette. If wood is used as a building material, it should be a
smooth, polished precious wood, because: The overall minimalist concept demands
a functional and simply elegant appearance of the furniture - simplicity in the
sense of extreme bareness is undesirable. Nevertheless, the mimalist living is
a very personal one that can mean something different to everyone. While my
definition of simplicity is rather lack of color (or neutrals), that doesn’t mean
that someone who prefers color cannot also be a minimalist. It’s 2020, folks –
everything is possible!!

Minimalism - stylish interior and matching home
accessories
When looking for minimalist interiors and room
decorations, orient yourself at Feng-Shui or Bauhaus. Both styles, like modern
minimalism, are based on the lack of the superfluous, which ultimately results
in a simple, straightforward design for furniture and interior decor. The
restriction to a single, purely decorative living accessory in the room - for
example a large mural or a modern sculpture - underlines the reduced aesthetics.

To furnish oneself minimalistically is a disciplinary challenge for collectors and hunters
The definition of order is the connection of the many based on a rule. Ultimately
the guideline for minimalist living is that a lot must be restricted in advance
of the interior design. The decision for the minimalist living style means the
end of colorful wallpaper, patterned carpets, ornate interiors and storage
areas overloaded with knick-knack.

More than other furnishing styles, a renovation towards
minimalist living offers after all the chance to clear out one's own life (Hello
Marie Kondo!) and reposition oneself - at least externally, because: minimalist
living ambience only unfolds its full charm in combination with clear
organizational structures.
