READY, SET, FIGHT!

Ashley Foo for Elle Canada (April 2015)

The worst thing that can happen to a blogger is not only the lack of inspiration but also
the lack of desire to shop. It seems... like my ever hungy closet is satisfied, in fact it's
just me who have not the "appetite". Maybe it's my rather simple style which
allows to play around with the basics I have or maybe it's the repetition of different
fashion trends which are popping out ever and ever again. Let me blame both on my
non excitement and laziness!

Don't get me wrong I'm a girl and a proofed shopaholic, so please forgive me when
say I don't need the 101. jeans or the 51. white shirt in my wardrobe! :) All the drama
aside, I wouldn't mind to fight for having those military inspired pieces on Ashley Foo
in my life. Camouflage is definitely one of those trends which are meant to stay
forever, especially in our "ever hungry closets".  Ready, set, fight!

What are your fave trends or must haves for this F/W season?

  1. No way, I've been feeling the same way (about shopping I mean). Nothing seems to appeal to me.

  3. I think I'm the different situation. I feel like I scroll endlessly through shopping sites, and never buying but always envying those who can buy them. I don't need many pieces, cause I love the simple style but I feel like there are so many basic items I don't have! Ahhhh! With that said, I'd love to get some camo! Haha <3

  8. I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm not one to online shop or physically shop for that matter, but the fact remains that my wardrobe is always open to more pieces. I still pride myself in being able to recycle old pieces and turn them into fresh new pieces, but I think it's always good that your wardrobe is satisfied! Perhaps it'll soon get hungry again, and you can get those gorgeous camos.

Ashley Foo is looking FIERCE in this editorial!

  10. I love these military outfits so much, Ira! You have the perfect taste in my opinion. I love all three photos, but the last one is my favorite. I think that black leather look with the sort of shiny military green looks amazing. Those pants are fantastic. Have a fun rest of the week and weekend!

It is hard for me to think about Autum and Winter trends when at eleven p.m I have to turn air conditioning on so I can avoid bathing in my sweat for a while...... not that I'm complaining....I actually quite enjoy high temperatures and Summer.

However, I did see one or two shows that caught my eye and I'm looking forward to ethnical prints that should be present in the following seasons. As someone who loves prints, I'm on lookout for camo as well. Military trend always fascinated me, perhaps because when I was 18 I tried to join the army but I was rejected on account of poor health. Dark green has a kind of minimalist appeal, doesn't it? It feels very neutral but it can make any outfit quite interesting.

Thanks for sharing this collection, some of these pieces are now on my wish list as well.

  16. Actually I stopped shopping for the most part earlier this year cause after doing a massive cleanout of my closet I realized that there were many perfectly good items I have barely worn. So I'm probably not going to shop much for FW either but instead trying to remix what I already own which presents a pretty good challenge in itself don't you think :)

  17. So true, I stopped shopping for a while up until very recently. Though I don't want to shop for autumn/winter just yet, I mean I love looks, just I don't think I'm ready to let summer go just yet haha! Ashley Foo looks so fierce, maybe when I'm not in denial I'll go searching for some new camouflage because it looks gooood :)X

  22. Hi May! I have to admit as a blogger my shopping habits change rapidly for better reasons. I have so much old clothes to show that it would be a shame to buy new ones ever and ever again... Haha! Would love to get my hands on some of Ashley's stuff but I think I can somehow restyle it with mine. ;-DD Happy you like it! I believe you would like my Sunday post, my dear! At least the message of it... ;-* Enjoy your weekend, May!!

  30. ABSOLUTELY! I definitely agree with you, Rowena! I'm still showing oldies but goldies from my closet on the blog because... well, it's full of those! And it would be a shame buying new clothes and not wearing the old ones. Love your attitude!!! Thanks a lot for dropping by, Rowena! Enjoy your weekend, sweetheart!
