MINIMALIST AFRIKART

Francine James, Riley Montana, Grace Bol, Nykhor Paul, Lineisy Montero, Amilna Estevao by Iango Henzi & Luigi Murenu for Vogue Germany (December 2015)

I don't know what it is what actually caught my eye to this incredibly well produced editorial in the latest issue of Vogue Germany:
Maybe it was the out of this world beauty of Liya Kebede on the cover,
maybe it was the fascinating brigade of powerful black women presenting a mix of minimalist and avantgarde designers as such as Maison Margiela, Rick Owens, Gareth Pugh and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci styled with the geisha inspired plateau boots from the gothic aesthtic runway show of Alexander Wang.
Or maybe it was just the fact this Afrikart was styled by the one and only Patti Wilson
Anyway... thank you, Patti for leaving me drooling over your inspiring sense of style and captivating understanding of art.

I'm such a fan of minimalist style. It's just so striking and it takes a strong person to wear one of these pieces without accenting it. I just love this post.

  57. I have to definitely agree with you on all the points above, Ira. This is such an inspiring editorial and you have named the reasons spot on why perhaps we all love it that much *_^ Super chic (minus that plateau boots, which is not my kind of style, but it doesn't make it less appealing!). Very structured look, yet artsy.

Gorgeous post! Ira. Hope you are having a great week so far!
